Route Start – Puerto de la Cruz
Your journey begins in Puerto de la Cruz, one of Tenerife’s most popular seaside towns. Following the TF-5 along the northern coast, you’ll enjoy beautiful Atlantic views before reaching the island’s historic western villages.
Stop 1: Garachico
The first stop is Garachico, one of Tenerife’s most charming historic towns. Once the island’s main trading port, it is now famous for its volcanic natural pools, colourful streets and beautifully preserved Canarian architecture.
Take time to stroll through the old town and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere before continuing west.
Stop 2: Buenavista del Norte
The route continues to Buenavista del Norte, a peaceful coastal village surrounded by dramatic landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean.
This quiet town offers dramatic views of the Teno Massif and is the perfect gateway before heading into the winding mountain roads.
Stop 3: Masca
Living the coast, climb up the sharp switchbacks into the famous village of Masca, located deep in the mountains.

Stop 4: Santiago del Teide
After descending from Masca, pass through Santiago del Teide, a quiet mountain town sitting at the foot of Mount Teide National Park.
A great spot to grab a coffe, stretch your legs, and prepare for the high-altitude climb ahead into the volcanic landscape.
Stop 5: Mirador de las Narices del Teide
Ride up the volcanic slopes toward Mirador de las Narices del Teide, located near the volcanic vents of the 1798 eruption.

Stop 6: La Orotava
Descent through the lush pine forest of the Orotava Valley until you reach La Orotava, one of Tenerife´s oldest and most picturesque colonial towns.
